It’s made possible because we integrate electronically with plans that represent about 72 percent of U.S. prescription volume, and the rest through our Universal Last Mile service which allows us to connect to any plan using their drug-specific PA forms, while still maintaining an electronic experience for the provider and pharmacy.
We understand that the best possible thing for you and your office is keeping things as quick and streamlined as possible. That’s why we’ve integrated with more than 500 EHR systems as well as 80 percent of the pharmacy market.
By integrating with EHRs, we allow for the possibility of prospective PA requests. As soon as a doc lets the system know he’s prescribing a med, we let the doc know it’s going to need a PA. This allows the PA request to be in motion before the patient even gets to the pharmacy.
If the PA need isn’t caught at the point of prescribing, our pharmacy integrations allow for a PA to be initiated in the pharmacy after the claim is rejected, so when it’s sent to the prescriber’s office it’s already halfway ready to be submitted.
Both of these options allow for faster determinations and better patient transparency.
The last thing anyone wants is to delay patients to therapy. With PA Renewals, you can keep continuity on your member’s medication while automating expiring PA. This also helps lower the possibility that the patient will abandon their medication altogether out of frustration from not being able to get it when they need it.
Here’s how it works: CoverMyMeds will receive notice of an expiring authorization, initiate it directly in our portal and send you a notification to finish the PA and submit to the plan. Done and done.

That’s why we’ve made it so you can conveniently share, access and complete PA requests through connected accounts. You’ll receive your own login and password, but with the ability to link to others in your workspace.

By linking accounts, members of your group can not only share PA info, but also prescriber signatures, so any member can complete the request. As soon as you register for a CoverMyMeds account, we’ll verify your physician. This way, when a pharmacy sends over a PA to your office, the process can begin without delay. After you’re verified, once a determination is received, you’ll get an alert about the ePA via email as well as on your dashboard. Didn’t verify upon signing up? No problem. Click “prescribers” at the top of your dashboard to verify.
The whole point of using CoverMyMeds is to save time and reduce administrative waste so you can spend more time with patients. Our handy address book is designed to help you do this, by storing patient and prescriber information for use in future PA requests whenever you’re filling out a form.
The application is simple: As soon as you begin to type, a box will pull from the stored contact information that you can choose to select if it corresponds with the correct patient or prescriber. Additionally, a full list of entries can be retrieved by leaving the fields blank and selecting the gray address book.
A couple clicks and you’ve filled out half the PA. Seriously.
