Columbus City School Board Approves CoverMyMeds’ Proposal
| Angela Masciarelli
We appreciate the leadership of both the Columbus City Schools’ Board of Education and the City of Columbus in their decision that will help create 1,000 new jobs and secure the capital investment of $100M into the West Franklinton neighborhood. In addition to new jobs and capital investment, our proposed campus will generate significant incremental tax revenue to the schools versus our other potential campus locations, and offer a comprehensive training and careers program for Columbus students.
CoverMyMeds has been involved in the Franklinton community for many years, and we’re pleased that our potential project in West Franklinton was given the same tax consideration as alternative locations in the city. We’re proud to contribute to the renaissance of an exciting part of our city and to give back to the community in a unique way. We look forward to offering computer programming training to hundreds of students each year, career guidance services, mentoring, annual scholarships, and many other training programs tailored to students in our community.
This was an important step towards breaking ground on this exciting project, and we look forward to continuing to work with the Board of Education and the City of Columbus to bring this project to fruition.
