CoverMyMeds is proud to be recognized by Great Place to Work® as #6 on the 2020 list of the Best Workplaces in Health Care™. Congratulations to all of the other organizations recognized, including fellow Ohio-based companies Southern Ohio Medical Center, Kettering Health Network and Licking Memorial Health Systems.

To compile this list, Great Place to Work® interviewed more than 700,000 employees working in the healthcare industry about their jobs. The ranking accounts for anonymous feedback to more than 60 questions ranging from company values, the effectiveness of their leaders and the extent of a work/life balance.

Being recognized as one of the Best Workplaces in Health Care™ is a testament to the remarkable culture that’s been built by our team of more than 1,300 leaders. We’re guided by five core values that empower our people to be themselves, guide us to do the right thing and act selflessly, while encouraging us to embrace challenges and achieve incredible results.

By being the best place to work and grow for all of our people, we’re better positioned to fulfill our mission: help patients get the medication they need to live healthy lives. As a healthcare technology company, our mission is met by the remarkable day-to-day work of all of our teams. We asked members of our specialty, payer and pharma teams to describe their work and what makes CoverMyMeds their best place to work and grow.

Our specialty team works tirelessly to help achieve our mission by creating solutions that transform how patients access, afford and adhere to their specialty medications. And, there’s a lot involved, from working directly with providers and patients to labs and insurance plans.

“I know firsthand that the path to specialty medication can be complicated,” said Brigette Bartlett, Technical Account Manager Lead, Specialty. “We help to make things as easy as possible so patients like me can get their needed medication.”

For Brigette, this work is personal. She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2015 and relies on specialty medication to manage her symptoms and slow down the possibility of progression. This firsthand experience is why she chose to work on our specialty team. Brigette is open about her condition and is a passionate advocate. She serves as the captain of the CoverMyMeds Walk MS team and hosted a CoverMyMeds event called “Multiple Stories with Multiple Sclerosis” where she and other employees shared how the condition has impacted their lives.

“I’m thankful to work at a company that allows me to be myself and be open about my condition.” - Brigette Bartlett, Technical Account Manager Lead, Specialty

“I’m thankful to work at a company that allows me to be myself and be open about my condition. That’s provided me with a platform to share my story and raise awareness about multiple sclerosis and I couldn’t be more grateful,” Brigette said. “CoverMyMeds allows me to learn and grow professionally and has made me a better human outside of the office, too.”

The payer team at CoverMyMeds works with industry stakeholders to provide prescription decision support tools, patient support services, and facilitate the electronic delivery of prior authorizations. This helps patients access their needed medication while also reducing time to therapy.

“When you go to the pharmacy to get your prescription filled, you may not know the price, understand your benefits or realize that a prior authorization is needed. That could lead to sticker shock as well as delays in getting your medication,” explained Abhi Sindhwani, Vice President of Payer Sales, Payer. “Our work ensures that all of that information is available when the doctor is speaking with the patient.”

Abhi points to one of our core values as a North Star in the work we do to fulfill our mission: “Do the Right Thing.” He explains that doing the right thing for the patient is a vision shared across the company and credits that focus — and some grit — with getting the job done.

“Understanding our mission and the impact our work has on patients is critical and allows me to thrive.” - Abhi Sindhwani, Vice President of Payer Sales, Payer

“Understanding our mission and the impact our work has on patients is critical and allows me to thrive,” said Abhi. “Collaboration is one of the key things that makes CoverMyMeds successful and at the end of the day everyone has fun.”

Our mission also guides the work of our pharma team: They leverage a variety of our innovative solutions to solve challenges for pharmaceutical manufacturers that ultimately helps patients access the therapies they need.

“I am surrounded by smart people who solve the complicated problems patients face every day,” said Cristin Grissom, National Sales Director, Pharma. “There are so many talented people at CoverMyMeds who really care.”

“There are so many talented people at CoverMyMeds who really care.” - Cristin Grissom, National Sales Director, Pharma

Cristin is thankful for those smart and talented teammates who contributed to her professional development and advancement as well. She credits the “Be Selfless” mentality with her success and for making CoverMyMeds a great place to work and grow.

“Our work is truly a team effort, and nobody really cares about the recognition,” Cristin said. “Instead, everybody jumps in to support one another to get the job done in a way that is completely selfless.”

People like Brigette, Abhi and Cristin join CoverMyMeds to do big things and they know that they can achieve more in their career, and faster, here than anywhere else. That’s one of the many things that make CoverMyMeds a great place to work and grow. We’re honored by the validation of Great Place to Work® — the go-to sources on workplace culture — with their recognition as a 2020 Best Workplace in Health Care™.
