CEO & Co-Founder
Matt Scantland is Co-Founder and CEO of CoverMyMeds, the nation’s largest electronic prior authorization platform.
As CEO, Matt is responsible for overall company leadership and growth. He brings a product and technology perspective to the management team, and helps drive the company’s innovation strategy.
Matt and Co-Founder Sam Rajan started CoverMyMeds to help patients get the medications they need to live healthy lives. Through its innovative products and partnerships with the nation’s largest health plans, pharmacies, providers and clinical systems, CoverMyMeds helps millions of patients access their needed medications each month.
Prior to co-founding CoverMyMeds, Matt was co-Founder and president of a software development company in Columbus that served large health care companies. Matt is active in Columbus’ business, civic and technology communities, and is an enthusiastic supporter of the growing entrepreneurial ecosystem in Columbus.
Sam is Co-Founder of CoverMyMeds and is responsible for vertical strategy and sales. Prior to CoverMyMeds, Sam headed clinical operations at MemberHealth in charge of direction for clinical management for more than one million seniors and managed the prescription drug spend of the company. While at MemberHealth, Sam implemented clinical programs that resulted in winning the 2008 URAC Gold Medal for Tier-1 PBMs.
As COO of CoverMyMeds, Michelle oversees our marketing, shared technologies and provider solutions vertical. She joined the company in 2008 and during that time has managed customer support, account management and recruiting, among many other departments.
Michelle’s career has focused on high-growth companies primarily in health care and technology. Prior to CoverMyMeds, Michelle spent several years driving start-up growth with Into Great, and served as VP of Operations for ExpressMed, a high-growth HME provider, where she was responsible for customer service, billing, distribution, marketing and all acquisition integrations. She speaks frequently on topics ranging from entrepreneurship and innovation, to maximizing the contribution of women in health care IT.
As president of CoverMyMeds, Glenn is responsible for driving the company’s overall sales and operational performance. He brings enterprise expertise to the CoverMyMeds executive leadership team, with a focus on delivering significant value to our global pharmaceutical manufacturer, health plan, pharmacy, provider and clinical system customers and partners.
Prior to joining CoverMyMeds, Glenn spent a decade as a senior executive at global enterprise software provider SAP, running a number of their large, multi-billion dollar business units. He also worked at EY, PeopleSoft and several pharmaceutical & health care industry companies – helping those companies to innovate and grow while driving exponential growth.
Glenn has served as a board member for Special Olympics of Pennsylvania, on the executive committee for The Haverford School in Pennsylvania, and is eager to find similar civic and philanthropic opportunities in Columbus.
Alan Scantland is Senior Advisor to CoverMyMeds. He has an outstanding history of leading high-growth companies including MemberHealth, Express-Med and Battelle.
Alan is a five-time Inc.500 | 5000 award recipient, including consecutive years with CoverMyMeds, and was awarded Inc.’s #1 overall company with MemberHealth in 2007.
He volunteers significant time to mentoring startup companies on strategy development, growth management and communications.
SVP & General Manager, Provider Solutions
Scott is SVP and General Manager of CoverMyMeds’ provider business, responsible for the strategy, growth and innovation of solutions delivered to CoverMyMeds’ provider community. Scott’s group leads product development, solution delivery, Electronic Health Record (EHR) partnerships, client relationships and provider services.
Scott has extensive business development, consulting and implementation experience in health IT, with a focus on EHR integration. Prior to joining CoverMyMeds, Scott spent 9 years with Hyland, creator of OnBase, where he most recently led the expansion of the company’s health care practice into international markets.
Scott is active in the health IT industry and currently serves as a board trustee for BioOhio and the Central & Southern Ohio chapter of HIMSS.
Michael Bukach, R.Ph.
SVP & General Manager, Pharmacy
Michael is the SVP and General Manager of CoverMyMeds’ pharmacy business, responsible for working with national pharmacy chains to implement electronic prior authorization in pharmacy locations.
Prior to CoverMyMeds, Michael served as VP of Pharmacy Operations for Cardinal Health/Medicine Shoppe, before joining MemberHealth in 2005. There he helped develop the 3rd largest Medicare Part D program in the country as SVP of Pharmacy Operations, responsible for the 65,000-pharmacy network and the prior authorization group.
Erica Conroy, Ph.D.
VP, Product Development & Customer Success, Pharma
As VP of Pharma Product Development and Customer Success, Erica is responsible for analytics, product development, customer success and training.
Before coming onboard with CoverMyMeds, Erica spent five years at Vertex Pharmaceuticals as a medicinal chemist. Erica completed her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from California Polytechnic State University, her Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from The Ohio State University and continued on to achieve a Post-doctorate in Organic Chemistry from The Scripps Research Institute.
SVP, Pharma Vertical
Michael brings 20 years of sales and finance experience in the health care and technology industries to his leadership of the sales and account management teams.
He has a proven track record of success and leadership in high pressure sales and private-equity driven organizations.
Before joining the team at CoverMyMeds, Michael served as General Manager of Ti Squared Technologies and VP of Finance for Advantis Medical.
VP, Finance and Enterprise Intelligence
Alan is the VP of Finance and Enterprise Intelligence at CoverMyMeds, responsible for ensuring obtainment of prior authorization forms for the company’s health care provider portal. Alan’s position focuses heavily on reporting, analytics, trending and forecasting.
Prior to CoverMyMeds, Alan served as Director of Analytics and Outcomes at MemberHealth/Universal American — a large Medicare Part D insurer.
VP, Clinical Services
Mike is VP of Clinical Services at CoverMyMeds, focusing on providing access to the company’s pharmacy-driven, patient-engagement platforms and services.
Previously Mike served as VP of New Business Initiatives at Ateb, focusing on the development and implementation of Ateb’s patient engagement services for retail pharmacy.
Mike brings more than 35 years’ experience in health care technology and services companies to CoverMyMeds, including executive leadership positions with companies in the durable medical equipment, E-Prescribing and pharmacy-centered patient care spaces.
Mike is an active member in the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP), Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and American Society for Automation in Pharmacy (ASAP).
Director, Information Security
As Director of Information Security & Privacy Officer, Mark is responsible for driving the strategic direction of the privacy, risk, compliance and information security functions of the organization.
Mark has 20 plus years of experience focused on server and network engineering, IT consulting and enterprise architecture.
Before coming to CoverMyMeds, Mark served as Lead Sales Engineer at Salesforce.com and Sales Engineer and Team Lead at Hyland Software.
VP, National Pharmacy Alliances
Ron is VP of National Pharmacy Alliances at CoverMyMeds. In his role, Ron connects pharmacies and pharmacy systems in the CoverMyMeds network. His experience as a retail pharmacist, working for a pharmacy management system vendor and serving as president for IPS Pharmaceuticals, a mail-order pharmacy, give him key insight into the needs of CoverMyMeds’ pharmacy partners.
After working as a retail pharmacist for more than 8 years, Ron joined Condor Corporation, a pharmacy management system vendor currently part of the McKesson Pharmacy Systems offering, where he served in many roles during his 15-year tenure.
Ron then joined Immediate Pharmaceutical Services, a mail-order pharmacy and PBM, as President before joining CoverMyMeds.
VP, Industry Relations
Perry is VP of Industry Relations for CoverMyMeds, with a focus on pharmacy association engagement and leading advocacy efforts in both the state and federal arena pertaining to electronic prior authorization (ePA).
Perry has spent more than 30 years successfully managing relationships in the PBM and independent and chain pharmacy environment supporting community pharmacy initiatives, initiating strategy for network development and product management.
He is actively involved in state and federal health care advocacy roles. He previously worked for McKesson AccessHealth as AVP PBM Relations contracting and supporting development of networks for independent chains.
VP, Strategy & Business Development, Provider
Ryan has over 15 years of experience as a founder or executive of digital health startups.
In 2003 he co-founded MediKeeper, one of the early pioneers in digital health. He was also the co-founder of Playful Bee, an early childhood development startup with the mission of delivering children to Kindergarten healthy and prepared for school.
Prior to CoverMyMeds, he served as SVP of Business Development for PokitDok and VP of Business Development at Healthline Networks.
As VP of Marketing at CoverMyMeds, Chrissy leads the team responsible for the strategy and execution of marketing campaigns across all areas of the business.
Chrissy began her career in agency and has been responsible for growing marketing programs and teams in corporate and high-growth company environments. She has spent her career building brand awareness and customer acquisition and loyalty programs for brands in the health care, consumer packaged goods and gaming industries.
